I was inspired by a YouTube video I found while browsing:
I thought it looked super cool and, more importantly, easy. I wanted to alter the idea a little but by using a huge canvas that I had at my house. This would require multiple cups of paint and a large area to do so. The canvas that I had in mind was one that we had hanging in our house already. It was a piece of wall art, about 3.5 ft tall and 5 ft wide, from Ikea that we’ve had for years. I felt as though it needed a new look. I first made it white by using three cans of white spray paint. Then it was time for the fun part. In my garage I set down cardboard on the floor, then I mixed acrylic paints with a pouring medium I got from Walmart, which was meant to make the paint more fluid. I mixed a bunch of colors and then put them all together in one cup, gave it one stir, and then poured it on the canvas. I did this about 10 times until all the white parts were covered. Here is the final result:
I took about 3 days to dry completely. My mom loved it and I had so much fun making it!
